Meriden, Connecticut

A powerful weeklong leadership training opportunity will take place in Meriden, Connecticut from Sunday, March 21, 2010 to Friday, March 26, 2010.

Leadership Training for Change is for leaders throughout the country who want to be effective in making a difference— including organizers and volunteers from faith communities, labor, electoral politics, public office holders and grassroots leaders. The training teaches ordinary people to unleash their capacity to impact the social, political, environmental, and economic decisions affecting their lives.

This training will allow you to reflect upon your experiences and what it means for you to be a leader in the public arena. You will engage with other participants in a learning community that emphasizes self-reflection, introspection and mutual inquiry. You will benefit from an environment, which will give you the opportunity to take risks, practice new behaviors and reexamine your current strengths and weaknesses. By the end of the week, you will develop a personal plan of action for becoming a more effective and powerful person.

COST: The tuition plus room and board for this six-day residential training is $550 for affiliates and qualified applicants; $1100 per participant who is from a non-affiliated group. (If you are interested in finding out more about applying at the “affiliated” rate please call Amy Thompson @ 203-886-6432.) Limited space available; register now.
